It's very nice that "Norma Rae" is among the many actors and actresses so keenly concerned about homosexual rights.
Over here, we are concerned with the rights of EVERYONE. Without consent, sexual activity is ABUSE.
According to Federal Law, a signed model release must be on file to prove that a person has consented to have a sexual image made public. JOHNSWELLSTUFF12 on eBay is one of those who has no such agreement.
Is it possible "Norma Rae" doesn't know what's going on in eBay's sneaky, hidden "adults only" section? It's easily found via the scroll down menu on eBay's front page. Scroll the category list to: "everything else...ADULT." That's where JOHN is selling THIS:
What's the excuse for not following a role model like "Norma Rae?" It was just a fictional character?
How about "Erin Brockovich?" She was real.
Maybe the answer is that we must pick our battles. Sally Field and others may feel it's more important to Tweet about a gay pride parade. Some actresses joke, "Oh, that image makes me look better than I really am!"
It's not so funny when a woman is stalked by a maniac who thinks these images are real. It's also not funny when a woman's photos are sold without her knowledge as "my ex-wife" or "my ex-girlfriend" with the implication that if you track her down, she'll pose for YOU the same way.
It's about respect. It's about the law. It's about time people took the time to make sure they are protected. One minute, one email to vero@ebay.com would remove that porn fake on Sally Field, and let JOHN (and his gruesome old wife Constance) know that such behavior is disgusting and illegal.
The more complaints, the quicker the suspension.
The latest with EBAY is that, yes, vintage_art_paper and a few other accounts HAVE been suspended because enough women sent in VeRO (verified rights owner) takedown requests.
EBAY has supposedly revised their rules on what's "offensive," and are cracking down on some of the sexual content on their site. A call to EBAY on June 23rd got a vague, "Yes, this kind of image is not allowed. It will be reported." But no answer to how someone can report it directly.
What can a fan of Sally Field do about an image such as the above? Click "report item" and then scroll to ADULT, OFFENSIVE MATERIALS, or ADULT, ITEMS NOT ALLOWED? Sometimes nothing happens. Will there be a scroll-down bar that specifically says, ADULT, ITEM HAS NO MODEL RELEASE or "ADULT, Item Contains Fake/Unlicensed Abuse of a Woman?"
The woman on the phone said, "For now, you can always call up." That number, Sally, is 1-866-540-3229.
