EBAY'S DIRTY LITTLE SECRET: FAKE "CELEBRITY NUDES"

We are PRO EBAY. This site is calling attention to an oversight. One that can be corrected easily.

EBAY has a history of allowing abuses...but correcting them. At one time "hidden camera" nude images were allowed. Not now. EBAY evolves and changes. Chloroform was allowed to be sold...until Peter Braunstein bought some and used it to sexually assault a woman in New York.

Let's not wait for another Braunstein who might come after Jodie Foster with: "I bought these nude pictures of you on EBAY. I think they're real. So pose for ME..." Let's not have another Theresa Saldana case.

This site advocates EQUALITY for Ebay bidders and sellers, and asks that "Celebrity Nudes" be BANNED.

The main reasons:

1) These images don't involve "consenting adults." Professional pornography involves willing actors and actresses and photographers paid for their work. "Consent" forms are on file. This isn't the case with "nude celebrity" photos EBAY sellers grind through a home printer.  Federal Law requires a signed release as per:

Title 18, Sections 2257 and 2257A, all models, actors, actresses, performers and/or other persons who appear in any visual depiction or “sexually explicit conduct” (as that term is defined in 18 U.S.C. §2256).

See the FBI website:

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/vc_majorthefts/cac/2257-program

2) EBAY already has a list of banned "offensive materials" (described further below) and it should include women depicted in sexually violent ways and without their knowledge.

3) The "VeRO" program is not the answer. Most people (YOU included) have no idea there are "nude celebrity" images for sale in a secret area of EBAY. How is Natalie Portman or Eliza Dushku or Erin Andrews supposed to know?
EBAY thinks a star should have a "VeRO" (verified rights owner) rep scanning the site. But even if Natalie Portman gets one,  dealers stopped for selling her images do it to everyone else, and if suspended, get a fresh account. Banning this material would allow anyone who sees such an image to report the item...which would instantly decrease the abuse. You don't see adult DVDs in the main area of EBAY because a few dedicated people report them as soon as they appear. Ebay even bans a paperback novel about rape in their "adult" section...so banning images depicting Emily Watson raped or Sarah Michelle Geller in bondage have no place either.

4)  "Nude celebrity" images are designed to degrade and humiliate. The more wholesome the star, the worse the pictures are. "Prurient interest" is what these images are about, and "prurient interest" is a definition of obscenity:

The secret porn area of EBAY:  http://www.ebay.com/chp/everything-else

EBAY actually has rules in their "porn" area: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/adult-only.html

EBAY defines "obscene" as an "incest" paperback novel but not cruel Photoshop images done without a star's consent:

EBAY's page on offensive material:  http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/offensive.html

EBAY protects animals, bums, dead people...not women whose images were stolen and used to degrade them via rape, gangbangs, urination, and other extreme acts?

 A
EBAY rules on "Celebrity Materials" state that sellers are banned from taking celebrity photos and putting them on a CD-R or mousepad or t-shirt:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/celebrity-material.html

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/signatures.html

Yet EBAY thinks it's ok for someone to download photos, make "nude celebrity" fakes and sell hundreds of those??

Ask Kari Rameriz, the publicist for EBAY at press@ebay.com when EBAY will change their rules. Ask the VERO department: vero@ebay.com. Ask the "Office of the President" at ootp@ebay.com. Will you get a form e-mail saying "we are taking appropriate action" or will you be able to get a real response on why they are allowing this menace?

Maybe you should write to CEO John Donahoe directly: John Donahoe, eBay CEO, 2145 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125

Note this picture of ERIN ANDREWS, a woman who was involved in sexual harassment issues. The photo on her is presented as REAL.

She has no idea what is going on...and hopefully won't find out by some EBAY winning bidder visiting her home, showing her this photo, and a knife.

There is no getting around Federal law. Title 18, Sections 2257 and 2257A says that model releases must be on file. No exemption by stating "I have a good faith belief the model is 18." Every porn mag, every reputable website selling adult-oriented photos, states compliance with Federal Law. EBAY should not be an exception.

EBAY should be a fun place to buy and sell what is legal and proper to sell.

Allow our favorite stars, living or deceased, to be treated with dignity and respect. We hope the day will come soon when we can state: PROBLEM SOLVED. EBAY LISTENED.

EMMA WATSON and JODIE FOSTER and AMY POEHLER

The "nude celebrity" images in the hidden "adult" section of EBAY are prurient interest (obscene) pictures. They are designed to degrade. They don't involve "consenting" adults.

EBAY seems to think that Emma Watson and Jodie Foster and the rest should know that there's a secret area of EBAY and assign a VeRO rep to patrol it. Only the stars don't know.  They need to be protected. NO woman should have explicit photos of themselves posted for profit on EBAY without their permission. Sellers should get that permission and show the model release in their ad. It should not be up to the woman to hunt and find this stuff:

Some celebrities are flattered by fake nude images. They don't seem to understand what happened to Theresa Saldana. They seem to think their security is so good that somebody thinking they pose nude for everyone anytime is not going to try and rape them in a hotel or backstage after a show, or stalk them. AMY POEHLER might think it's rather charming that somebody has given her a better body than she actually has. But she (and others) should have a VeRO rep because the quicker these sellers get suspended, the better. They prey on women. They are making a few cheap dollars and it could get someone raped or killed. It's simply not a good idea, and EBAY's mark of approval is telling people "this is a real photo of Amy Poehler...she is ASKING FOR IT..."

Ask yourself what kind of mental case is buying this photo...rather than simply keep it as a screen capture, or sliding the photo onto the desktop for free. The kind of mental case who might stalk Amy Poehler when she comes anywhere near his town?

HALLE BERRY, ELIZA DUSHKU, MARTINA MCBRIDE

"Nude celebrity" images on EBAY aren't like "undressing a woman" with your eyes. It's pornography of the worst type...obscene images sold without consent.

EBAY's notion that any seller has licensing to make these porn images, or has signed documents from Halle Berry, Eliza Dushku or Martina McBride...is dangerously wrong.

It is also illegal. Pornographers are in compliance with Federal Law...by having signed model releases. Amateurs on eBay who grind these hideous images through their home printers...do NOT have signed agreements, and so EBAY is aiding and abetting a violation of law.

EBAY is evasive about how many times a seller can violate their policies or VeRO (ie, be stopped by VeRO reps representing various celebrities). Bestiality is actually against EBAY rules, so anyone can report the pictures you see below. And they've been reported and removed. But the seller of these images, vintageartpaper, continues to thrive with other vile Photoshop jobs.

Every website selling nude images, every DVD, every magazine, states that they've got signed model releases on age and consent. Otherwise, they could face criminal prosecution:

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/vc_majorthefts/cac/2257-program

The Hatred and Abuse of NATALIE PORTMAN

Stars have no idea there's a secret "adult" section on eBay where, WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT, they are ridiculed, humiliated, and subjected to fantasies of rape and violence.

EBAY has a rule against "offensive materials" but don't consider the images below "offensive?"

Would an EBAY employee last an hour if he showed "fantasy" pictures like this of a female at EBAY? Then why do they allow this on their site for money?

HILLARY CLINTON and MICHELLE OBAMA

Ignorant people might think EBAY allows rape fantasies on Hillary Clinton and interracial porn on Michelle Obama because they are "public figures."

No. They allow it because they simply don't understand what "OFFENSIVE MATERIALS" and "OBSCENITY" mean.

EBAY actually has rules against all kinds of photo depictions...including hate photos of political leaders, photos of corpses and crime scenes, photos of disasters...EBAY just doesn't seem to think that rape fantasies and abusive fantasies against women...are a problem.

EBAY ironically does not allow "voyeur" images...nude images taken of women when they aren't looking. Yet they allow people to invent evil, humiliating images of women to be sold. They expect Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama to check eBay every week and then e-mail a notice saying, "This may surprise you, but I didn't sign off and license these...."

AUDREY HEPBURN and RAQUEL WELCH - nobody is safe

The hatred and malice of the "nude fantasy" sellers knows no bounds.

In fact, the more G-rated the actress, the greater the anger. Audrey Hepburn in bondage? Who is to protect her memory, except EBAY by banning such images?

Raquel Welch stripped and crucified? This isn't "Offensive Materials" according to eBay's current rules and policies page:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/offensive.html B

WHO is being abused? EVERYONE...Gwyneth Paltrow and....

EBAY, which has enough sense to have an "offensive materials" list,  has a blind spot when it comes to "nude celebrity" items.

Fans can't tip off their favorite stars to the abuse because most of today's top stars have made themselves inaccessible to fan mail or e-mail queries, and many don't even have an official website. Many are on Twitter but only to post, not to read anything...even a fan saying, "Don't let EBAY DO THIS TO YOU..."

So instead of relying on "VERO" (their "verified rights owner" program where stars or their reps report abusive material which is removed on "intellectual property rights") EBAY should put "nude celebrity" items on their "Offensive Materials" banned list.

Right now, if a star reports a "nude fantasy" seller, that seller's item goes, but his other items stay. That's like telling a rapist, "You won't go to jail. Just go ahead and assault other women except the one you just attacked."

Look at these long lists of stars these sellers are abusing. A few men seem to spend all their time Photoshopping fake images on any star they hate and want to degrade for profit.

SHIRLEY JONES - abused again and again

"JEFF" is a sociopath. He has a thing about imagining how Shirley Jones might look naked.

"JEFF" spends a large portion of his time taking G-rated movie stills and making them into degrading "fantasies." He is mentally ill, obviously. He even lies in his ads and insists his images are "artwork" and "not photographs." What a sociopath.

But thanks to EBAY he profits from his demented behavior. Back in 2006 he was reported for abusing SHIRLEY JONES.  He's kept doing it. 2008. 2014. Under various Ebay seller identities, he's been determined to degrade SHIRLEY JONES.

Shirley's VeRO rep reports the items...and it doesn't stop "JEFF." That's why EBAY needs to outright BAN these "celebrity nude" images so that any fan who sees the item can report it, and the seller with 100 items gets all 100 taken down.

What kind of man would keep right on degrading an actress who told him to stop? Under at least three documented identities, from 2006 right through to today, 2014, he's kept at it. Only a complete BAN of this sick material done without consent or model releases, will stop him.

KELLY CLARKSON and VANESSA BAYER - PRURIENT NUDES

A big selling point with the "nude celebrity" dealers in the sneaky, hidden "adult" section of EBAY, is stripping women who don't pose naked.

KELLY CLARKSON is a singer. VANESSA BAYER is a comic actress. But "appealing to prurient interest" (which IS a definition of obscenity) is what the EBAY sellers do.

Kiddie Porn and "Cock Punishment" TARA LIPINSKI and SELENA GOMEZ

Years ago, Tara Lipinski was a teen Olympic phenomenon. Her manager at the time, insisted, "there are no porn images of Tara on EBAY." She was sent an e-mail with a link to the hidden "adult" section of EBAY.

She said, "Oh...my....God." And she joined the VeRO program to stop what were, at the time, obvious under-age porn images. Today? Well, Tara evidently has new management that doesn't care, or her manager isn't searching diligently.

The fact is, Federal Law requires proof that the pornographic image is of someone of legal age AND CONSENT. Traci Lords, who looked legal, wasn't. That's why all her early porn films are banned form sale.

EBAY sellers should comply with Federal Law,  just as pornographers who sell photos or downloads, DVDs or magazines do. They all state they have signed model releases. EBAY sellers who grind photos through a printer, should comply with Federal Law: Title 18, Sections 2257 and 2257A.

The seller of this current LIPINSKI and GOMEZ images calls what he's done a "parody." As if that's legal. It isn't. "Parody" might apply if the image was in Hustler as part of some misogynistic editorial. But here, it's being manufactured as a PRODUCT and that requires LICENSING.

Semen "FACIALS" for HEIDI KLUM and TINA FEY

The seller thinks it's OK to abuse Heidi Klum and Tina Fey with "cumshot" humiliation and porn images.

EBAY currently thinks it's ok for celebrities to be subjected to prurient "fantasy" (or "parody") images...even though their "offensive materials" policy protects against such things as "Michelle Obama Fantasy Hanging From a Tree" or "Great Nazi Atrocity Photos of Jews Being Tortured."

EBAY expects stars to know these images exist in a hidden area of the site?? If a fan discovers the abuse, how would that fan contact a star? Stars keep their contact information hidden...and EBAY does, too. EBAY's e-mail for "Office of the President" was removed. It was csme@ebay.com and then oopt@ebay.com. Now, nothing.

This is how misunderstandings happen. Surely EBAY does not condone the abuse of women. These images were done without consent and instead of thinking "the seller is always right," EBAY should BAN "nude celebrity" images, and make sure that sellers of pornography can state that they are offering published material (DVDs, magazines) from companies that have CONSENT forms on file.

Meanwhile, a seller is making money off this stuff:

JESSICA ALBA - BESTIALITY AND URINE POSES ON EBAY

EBAY does not patrol their site. That's one of the perks of having Internet laws in their favor.

All they are legally obligated to do is obey a "DMCA." They expect Jessica Alba to check the hidden "mature audiences" area, find the image, write it down, and send in a complaint saying, "These bestiality and urine images are not licensed..."

Two problems: not every star knows there IS an "adult" section of eBay. AND...when something is illegal under FEDERAL LAW, the website needs to comply. This is the law:

Title 18, Sections 2257 and 2257A, all models, actors, actresses, performers and/or other persons who appear in any visual depiction or “sexually explicit conduct” (as that term is defined in 18 U.S.C. §2256

Calling the item "a parody" (as this seller does) does not absolve the seller from having a signed model release of consent. This is a PRODUCT and "parody" doesn't protect it from the law. EBAY needs to reform its rules on what they allow in their hidden "red light" area of the site.

Summer Glau, Marlo Thomas, Winona Ryder - Without Consent

There are among the "milder" images from one of the "Nude Fantasy" sellers.

"JEFF" has over a thousand of them. He seems to spend all his time imagining what celebrities might look like in compromising, humiliating, and "Hustler"-style poses.

What if he did that at EBAY headquarters? What if he was proven to be making "nude fantasy" images of his co-workers?

He'd be fired on the spot. On EBAY he can sell this and make money? Without stating he has consent forms signed? He doesn't show consent forms, just lurid, prurient images in violation of Federal Law: Title 18, Sections 2257 and 2257A, all models, actors, actresses, performers and/or other persons who appear in any visual depiction or “sexually explicit conduct” (as that term is defined in 18 U.S.C. §2256

The RAPE of EMMA WATSON from a Gleeful EBAY SELLER

Do you think RAPE FANTASY is "offensive material?"

EBAY does not. It's not on their banned list:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/offensive.html B

Shouldn't the rule be changed to stop a man from profiting from selling this violent and hateful image?

WHO would do such things? THEY WOULD

One of the main problems with EBAY is how easy it is for a suspended seller to come back...and do the same thing all over again.

"JEFF" not only came back from two suspensions, his wife "LORAN" helped him get a THIRD identity by signing up an account with her name. She's a cashier at a Staples in Orland, FL. And she most enthusiastically approves of what he does...making "fantasy" images of what he thinks a star might look like naked and humiliated.

They look like nice people...don't they?

They think they have a right to steal celebrity images, steal porn images, and make money from the thefts. Right now, EBAY agrees with them.

And here's "BILL and PAT."

Guess where they're from? Florida, same as "JEFF and LORAN." Pat, on her EBAY page, tells the world that she and her husband are retired. They have TWO accounts on EBAY...one selling DISNEY memorabilia and archery kits...and other for hundreds of porn images that BILL downloaded off the Internet.

Yes, for a lousy $2.25 (free shipping) he'll sell you any of these:

A closer look at a few more. And yes, that's ANOTHER "Bush joke" Photoshop job Bill found on the Internet. You think only creepy teenagers search the Net all day long for dirty pictures? Here's Bill, retired, and haunting every porn forum for images he can steal and run through his computer printer for $2.25

This is what a nice all-American couple do in their spare time. He sells a lot of "Multi-Celebrity" look-alike photos, and since he just downloads them and has no idea about some of these new-fangled stars, especially if their names aren't on the image to start with, he just lists them as "Multi-Celebrity."

Do you wonder what "BILL AND PAT" would do if they ever got a chance to say hello to George Bush and his wife, to Natalie Portman, to Sharon Osbourne? It probably wouldn't be, "Gee, we're selling humiliating, obnoxious fake nudes of you..."

Here's the bottom half off the Sharon Osbourne ad. Yes, "BILL AND PAT" are grinding 4x5 photos at $2.25 each of porn images, when they could be selling most anything else, clipping coupons, or doing something useful with their lives.

Here's one last picture that "Speaks for it's self." Just another lovely image from "BILL AND PAT"

They must really like Kelly Ripa. Probably watch her show every morning.

Anti-Semitic Bondage of Jane Seymour and Sarah Michelle Geller

"JEFF" likes to see Jewish stars in bondage. EBAY loves it, too.

In fact, while EBAY claims to have a policy against "bondage" material anywhere except the "adult" section, this guy has been abusing Jewish women in the "general" area of the site.

Yes, these images of JANE SEYMOUR and SARAH MICHELLE GELLER were taken from the "normal" area of eBay. And yes, "JEFF" does not sell images of hog-tied women who are not Jewish.

Can you explain why these images are ok, JOHN DONAHOE, CEO of EBAY?

Can you explain why these images are ok, press rep KARI RAMIREZ?

Over here, we believe that women with last names such as GELLAR and SEYMOUR deserve to be protected from such abuse...and ALL women should be protected whether in the "regular" or "adult" area of EBAY.

Because nude images of "consenting adults" is one thing. And THIS is another.
