Today, a guy who "spoofed" or "PFISHED" (nice terms for tricked) Jennifer Lawrence and others into giving up passwords, was sentenced to a mere nine months in prison.
Today, the nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence are STILL BEING SOLD ON EBAY. Technically, this is stolen merchandise. Some sellers even admit they are "LEAKED." Technically, eBay a "report this item" to eBay should lead to a takedown. It does not.
And where is Jennifer Lawrence's VeRO rep? Does Jennifer Lawrence, her manager or her agent even HAVE a VeRO rep?
Today, you'll find THESE items in eBay's sneaky "adults only" section
At one time, the photos were going for $10 or $15 each, but now that most everyone has them already, the cheap parasites on eBay will settle for $5.
Two big problems:
ONE: that eBay even allows "leaked" photos, and will play dumb for any seller who simply posts them as "selfies" (without signed age or consent documents).
TWO: that too many celebrities have no idea there IS an "adults only" section on eBay. A star like Jennifer Lawrence, who doesn't have an official website and doesn't have any responsible people checking a Twitter or Facebook account (if she even has one), can't be contacted by a concerned fan.
Aside from the REAL stolen images of Jennifer Lawrence, eBAY sellers gleefully post fakes which they usually pretend are real.
Did any of these (or 100 others) even bother to say "Fake?" No. The EBAY sellers are spreading (pardon the pun) the message that every female celebrity wants the world to see her naked. That they even franchise eBay sellers to offer these images and take a percentage of the profit.
EBAY should stop allowing "celebrity porn" for a simple reason: it's against Federal Law to dispense pornography without having "a signed document of age and consent" on file. A notice about that is on ANY porn mag or DVD you might buy, and is prominently stated on any website showing adult material.
Lastly, if JENNIFER LAWRENCE, GWYNETH PALTROW, BEYONCE, and a few others had VeRO reps checking the "adult" area, most of the sellers would be suspended by now. They thrive on apathy and ignorance.
They also thrive because EBAY is ignoring Federal law on "age and consent" and EBAY so far is also refusing to include "humiliation of women" in their "offensive materials" rule that bars people from doing Photoshop jobs on minorities, gays, or religions.
